Qualified teachers must complete a three year full time course and are members of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique.
Excess tension in your body can cause a variety of unpleasant symptoms and pain and it can interfere with your ability to perform activities well.
The teacher will observe your movements and show you how to move, sit, lie down and stand with better balance and less strain. They’ll use their hands to gently guide you in your movements, help you maintain a better relationship between your head, neck and spine, and to release muscle tension.

We encourage people to come with relaxed loose fitting clothes or bring shorts or a towel with you for your own comfort. You may be asked to remove some items of clothing for a treatment.

No, you can just book an appointment and once your appointment has been booked you will receive an email asking you to complete a form prior to your first visit which includes a medical history so that we can learn as much about you prior to your appointment.
