No it’s not a problem, simply book yourself in for treatment. We do receive referrals from GP’s, Consultants, and other health professionals; however, it is not necessary.

We will take you through the questionnaire that you completed prior to your visit that includes your details, injury history, and overall medical history. This discussion creates a pathway for the most appropriate tests to be carried out which may include looking at your movement patterns, mobility, flexibility, and strength in and other relevant techniques specific to your needs. Depending on the complexity of your case, the assessment may be carried out in part over two sessions. All findings will be discussed with you with the opportunity to ask questions at any point.

Our highly skilled practitioners are trained in manual therapy acupuncture and podiatry and all areas of musculoskeletal pain management and foot health. You will be assured the most up to date, effective techniques due to our passion for ongoing professional development. For our osteopaths and physios these may include, soft tissue massage, myofascial manipulation, joint/ spinal mobilization, taping, electrotherapy, laser therapy exercises in many forms, or other appropriate techniques. Treatments are highly bespoke, and an individual plan is made for every patient following the initial consultation at which time we will discuss with you what you and we think is the best approach. This may need to be adjusted as treatment evolves.

We advise that you check with your insurance company prior to receiving treatment. We do not invoice insurance companies directly on behalf of clients, our exception to this is Tricare.

If patients wish to claim, a receipt will be issued to facilitate reimbursement.

The clinic has a large car parking space directly behind the clinic with easy access suitable for patients using wheelchairs or walking aids.

We require 24 hours’ notice, or a full fee will be charged (unless there are exceptional circumstances). Late cancellations and missed appointments are costly and frustrating. The clinic always has a waiting list and we respectfully ask that you please ensure adequate time for a slot to be filled where possible. Cancellations can be made via the JaneApp online prior to 24 hours before your appointment is due. However you can also call on 01480 455221 or, e-mail admin@centreforcomphealth.co.uk).

Please be aware that you may be required to undress to your underwear, in order that an effective assessment to be carried out. You are asked to wear appropriate undergarments and invited to bring shorts if this would make you feel more comfortable. We are of course respectful of your wishes and can treat through light clothing if you prefer.

If you are uncomfortable with any of this, please speak to your practitioner to agree a way forward.
